Pregnancy, Prenatal, & Postpartum Therapy
It is natural for women to experience changes in their feelings and mood during pregnancy, including feeling fatigued, irritable or worried. Mild mood changes during pregnancy are common, but mood symptoms can sometimes become severe enough to require treatment by a trained clinician. If feelings of depression or anxiety persist for a few weeks or interfere with daily activities, it may be time to seek assistance. Depression and other symptoms during pregnancy can worsen and continue into the postpartum period. At PARC, our therapists have expertise in helping mothers who are struggling with loss of a pregnancy, infertility issues and postpartum depression or anxiety.

Counseling for Parents
Mothers with postpartum depression may feel like they are not connecting with their baby the way they should. You may have trouble focusing, making decisions, or remembering things. This may make you feel like you are a bad parent or that you’re not bonded with your baby, which can make your depression worse. Please know that your depression is no reflection on you as a parent. Your struggles do not define you or who you are. We’ll provide you with a therapist who can help you work through your post-pregnancy issues so you can feel happier and work through your challenges.
